Privacy Policy for TUG Co.

Effective date: August 5, 2026 · Last updated: August 5, 2026

TUG Co. is a puzzle game made by Melon Patch LLC. This policy explains what the game does with data. It is short, because the game does very little.

The short version

TUG Co. works offline and has no accounts and no server of ours. Your progress lives on your device and nowhere else. We do not track you, we do not run ads, and we do not use analytics. The only things that ever leave your device are anonymous crash reports and, if you buy Gold, the purchase receipt that the app store handles.

What we collect

Crash reports. If the game crashes or hits an error, it can send a report so we can fix the bug. We use Sentry for this. A report contains the error, a stack trace, and basic technical details about what went wrong. We configure Sentry not to attach identifying information. We strip out user records, network addresses, and request details before a report is sent. We cannot tell who a crash came from, and we do not try to.

Purchases. TUG Co. sells Gold packs. The purchase itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your name, your card, or your billing address. To confirm a purchase is genuine and to give you what you paid for, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives the store receipt, which pack you bought, and basic device information. RevenueCat identifies the purchase with a random ID that the app generates on your device. That ID is not linked to any account, because there are no accounts.

That is the complete list.

What we do not collect

We want to be specific here, because "we care about your privacy" is not information.

  • No accounts. There is no sign-up, no sign-in, and no profile. We have no way to know who you are.
  • No analytics. We do not measure which levels you play, how long you play, what you tap, or whether you finish. None of it.
  • No tracking. We do not use advertising identifiers. We do not build a profile of you. We do not follow you across other apps or websites.
  • No ads. The game shows no advertising.
  • No selling or sharing. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We never have and we have nothing to sell.
  • No location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera. The game does not ask for them and does not use them.
  • No cookies on our website. melonpatch.dev sets no cookies and runs no analytics.

Where your data lives

On your device. Your progress, your Gold, your unlocked crew, and your settings are stored locally in the app. There is no cloud save and no backup on our end.

This has a real consequence, so we would rather you hear it here: if you delete the app, your progress is gone. We cannot restore it, because we never had a copy. Purchases can usually be restored through your app store, since the store keeps a record of what you bought.

Who else is involved

Four companies can touch data connected to the game. Apple and Google process your purchase under their own policies. RevenueCat and Sentry work on our behalf, under contracts that limit what they may do with it.

Data sent to Sentry and RevenueCat travels over an encrypted connection. These companies operate in the United States and elsewhere, and where data moves between countries we rely on standard contractual clauses in our agreements with them.

Children

TUG Co. is made for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not need to, because the game collects no personal information from anyone.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has sent us information, please email us and we will look into it and delete anything we find.

Your rights

Because we hold no account and no profile, there is usually nothing of yours for us to look up. Even so, if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or anywhere else with privacy laws, we will honor the same requests for everyone:

  • Ask what data we have about you.
  • Ask for a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct it or delete it.
  • Object to how we use it.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

Email us and we will answer. If you send us a crash report timestamp or a purchase receipt, that gives us something to search on and makes the request much easier to fulfill.

Where privacy law asks us to name a reason for handling data, ours are these: we keep crash reports because we have a legitimate interest in a game that does not crash, and we handle purchase receipts because we need to in order to deliver what you bought.

How long we keep things

Crash reports are kept only while they are useful for fixing bugs, then deleted on a rolling schedule. Purchase records are kept as long as we need them to support your purchase and to meet tax and accounting obligations. Everything else lives on your device, under your control, and goes away when you delete the app.

The web version

We sometimes put a small playable demo of TUG Co. on our website. The demo is not the store app. If the demo ever measures anything, it will be a handful of anonymous counts such as "someone opened the page" or "someone finished the puzzle". No cookies, no identifiers, and no way to connect those counts to a person or to a device. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first.

Changes to this policy

If we change what the game does with data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so in the app.
